Investor accounts are used to invest in different products on the platform. By investing in the product, investor creates a allocation to it. Allocation is the actual active investment of the client.
Client can allocate all his funds deposited to the investment account or a part of it. Therefore client can use one investment account to create multiple allocations to different funds.
All active and inactive allocations of your investors can be managed from Broker Admin - Reports
Allocations are created automatically once investor decides to invest in the following modules:
Strategies
SMA
Thematic Baskets
Robo Advisory
When using Strategies and SMA modules, investor starts new allocation by clicking on Copy/Invest button from the performance page of the selected fund.
From the moment of start allocation, all new trades opened by fund manager will be copied and opened in investor's investment account. When fund manager closes the trade, the relevant copied trade will be closed on investor's investment account automatically.
Investors have functionality to deposit additional funds and withdraw from active allocations on the go. The functionality is available from Investor report - Allocations
They can also stop the allocation at any time. Stopping the allocation will close all related copied trades immediately.
Investor can manually close the copied Strategy trades from Investor report - Trades. Trades copied from SMA funds can not be closed manually.
Only one allocation can be created to one specific fund at the same time.
When using Thematic baskets module, investor starts new allocation by clicking on green Invest button on the performance page of the selected basket.
When creating an allocation investor invests in shares of stocks, securities or bonds by opening multiple self-trades on the specific basket products. The amount of shares bought for each product will depend on the amount of investment, the current prices and the weight of the each product in the basket.
Investor can review the performance and stop allocation from Investor report - Allocations. At stop allocation all associated trades will be closed at current prices.
Performance of each specific trade during investment can be monitored from Investor report - Trades
To start the allocation in Robo Advisory module, investor is requested to fill the questionnaire and forms in order for algorithm to match his investment goals with suitable basket fund.
Investor invests in shares of the basket fund by opening a multiple self-trades on the specific products included in the Robo Advisory basket. The amount of shares bought for each product will depend on the amount of investment, the current prices and the weight of the each product in the basket.
Investor can review the performance, edit and stop allocation from Investor report - Allocations. At stop allocation all associated trades will be closed at current prices.
Performance of each specific trade during investment can be monitored from Investor report - Trades
Trading allocation needs to be created before investor decides to invest in the following modules:
Trading
Equities
ETFs
Mutual Funds
Trading allocation is an amount locked from investment account to be used for self-trading.
Investor can create a trading allocation from main menu toolbar in the top right corner of the platform.
Investor can allocate all funds deposited to the account or a part of it to trading allocation. Investor will not be able to use the locked amount or self-trading allocation to invest in other products and to create standard allocations.
After the trading allocation is created, investor can start trading and investing.
The total amount of investments and trades on all products and trading statistics will be summarized under trading allocation entry and display the cumulative balance, equity and return of all open self-trades.
Investor can stop investing by closing his trades at any time.
